Cloudy, rainy days...how I love them! This has been our weather lately, and I've enjoyed it completely! Most everyone else I know, not so much.
Creative Felt Gathering has announced a special guest teacher from far, far away coming to the event this year. She's not told us yet who it will be, but I am thinking it will be great. This is a wonderful event. Surprises make it even better! Her is the information in case you've missed it. Come to this if you possibly can. It's amazing! The instructors and participants are amazing as well. It is just super to be there! Elis Vermeulen , Chad Hagen, and Pam MacGregor will be there...plus a surprise guest teacher. I'm getting anxious for Sept. to arrive!

I've been making a lot of nuno lately, but decided I needed to build up my hat stock a bit. Finally, hats! The show season is upon me and I've got a lot of stock to get made. I think there are a lot of long nights in my near future.
Got to get rolling....felters, you know what I mean!
Shalom and may Peace be all around you,
Suzanne

Yesss, rainy-days are felting-days ;-))
Lovely hats!!
Nice to see your hats, Suzanne and the info on the Creative Felt gathering. We have a lot of cloudy days here in Seattle but today was a sunny one-and I managed to almost lsyout part of the silk piece we dyed together at your house when I was in Plainwell!
Same here- two rainy days in a row on the mountain and great for felting! Speaking of the mountain- you're coming, right? Call me! 734-945-8118. I'm teaching in the morning but free tomorrow afternoon. I've been signed up for quite a while for the Sept. retreat and I'm really curious about the TBA artist. I have a wild dream based on the bit "from far, far away"...
I always love your hats- nicely done!
Ginny, I am so anxious to see what you do with that beautiful silk fabric. It was so special in color and memories made. Please send me a photo when you get it done. I know whatever you do will be spectacular!
Hugs,
Suzanne
Well, Suzanne: re the silk- it's almost ready to felt..tomorrow i will likely do it..(Wednesday) I'm doing some experiments with it that may or may not come out-if they do it should be a lovely long and wide scarf-I've cut a piece 18 plus by 96ish..will post, send pics..whether it "works" or not..maybe even go back on my blog-now there's an idea!Hugs to you!
Those hats are cute. I'm a person that if there is rain I'm in heaven. I just think rain is the best thing ever. Where I am from we have had some much snow over the winter we are not having problems with flooding.
